Free Board Assessment

Creation In Common conducts free board development assessments for nonprofits to help you understand your board’s ability to effectively govern and improve organizational performance. In addition, recommendations are made to help strengthen board engagement in strategy development, resource development, recruitment, and financial oversight.

• faced with an operational transition
• wishing to strengthen overall board engagement

How does it work?
A member of the Creation In Common team will meet with two senior leaders of your organization (including a board officer) to review and discuss:

Key organizational challenges and needs

Past board performance on addressing financial health, providing oversight of operational performance, advancing resource development efforts, and setting strategy, expectations, and policies

Existing board member skills and expertise

Board member recruitment and talent development efforts

Board members’ ability to govern versus volunteer

Quality of the board member experience

Our team member will identify board development needs and share solutions to improve board performance. Meetings typically are two hours long.
