		<description><![CDATA[Great observations.  I frequently talk with groups about the difference between being proactive and reactive.  Those nonprofit leaders who are reactive simply sit back and let things happen.  This leads to the last minute scramble for funding or the hasty development of a last minute program.

Those nonprofit executives who decide to be proactive reap the benefits of planning beforehand and creating a structure that encourages innovation and quick movement.

It&#039;s easy to do.  Encourage employees to make their own decisions and create an atmosphere where achievement is rewarded and passivity is redirected.
